Tutor Agreement

Version 1.0 · in effect from 25 August 2026

This Agreement is between you (the tutor) and Bolchaall. It applies in addition to the Terms of Service. Read clause 1 carefully — it defines the whole relationship.

1. You are an independent contractor, not an employee

You are an independent, self-employed contractor. You are not an employee, worker, partner or agent of Bolchaall, and nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship.

This means, specifically:

  • You are not entitled to a salary or wage, provident fund (EPF), ESI, gratuity, bonus, paid leave, sick pay, notice pay, retrenchment compensation, or any other employment benefit.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes, including income tax and GST where it applies to you, and for your own registrations, returns and records. Bolchaall will deduct tax at source only where the law requires it, and will give you the certificate for it.
  • You decide when and whether you work. You set your own availability and you may decline any booking.
  • You are free to teach elsewhere, including on competing platforms and privately, subject only to clause 7 below.
  • You provide your own equipment and internet connection.

Bolchaall does not guarantee you any minimum number of bookings, hours, students or income.

2. Getting approved

Before you can teach you must complete verification, which may include identity documents, qualifications, a short interview and a review of your profile. Bolchaall decides who is approved and may decline or reverse approval. Everything you submit must be genuine; a forged document ends the relationship immediately.

3. Your fee and how you are paid

4. Turning up

5. Student privacy — a firm rule

You will not be given, and must never ask for, a student's email address, phone number or other personal contact details. All contact runs through the platform. This protects the student and it protects you. Asking a student for their contact details is treated as a breach of clause 7.

6. Conduct and safeguarding

You must behave professionally at all times, keep every class free of harassment, discrimination and sexual content, and never record a class without the written consent of everyone in it. Where you teach a learner under 18, you must keep the guardian's arrangements and report any safeguarding concern to support@bolchaall.com at once.

7. No going around the platform

While this Agreement is in force and for 12 months after it ends, you agree not to solicit, accept or continue paid tuition outside Bolchaall with any student you first met through Bolchaall, and not to exchange contact details or payment details with them for that purpose.

This is how the platform stays viable — Bolchaall paid to find, verify and support that student. If you breach this clause, Bolchaall may close your account, withhold unreleased earnings, and recover the commission it would have earned.

8. Material and content

9. Ending the relationship

10. Liability, law and jurisdiction

You are responsible for the tuition you deliver, and you agree to reimburse Bolchaall for claims arising from it or from your breach of this Agreement. Bolchaall's liability to you is limited as set out in clause 12 of the Terms of Service.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at New Delhi (Delhi) have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
