Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what Bolchaall collects about you, why, who it is shared with, and what you can do about it. It covers bolchaall.com and the Bolchaall mobile app.

1. Who is responsible

Bolchaall, B-64, Sangam Park, Near Nanak Pio Gurudwara, New Delhi, North Delhi – 110007, India, decides how your personal data is handled and is the data fiduciary for the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Contact: support@bolchaall.com.

2. What we collect

What	Why
Name, email address, and (for tutors and promoters) phone number	To create and run your account, and to contact you about your classes
Password, stored only as a one-way hash	To sign you in securely. We never see or store your actual password
Tutor verification data: qualifications, identity and tax documents, photo, interview notes	To verify tutors before they teach, and to meet tax obligations
Payment records: amount, date, status, and a reference from the payment provider	To take payment, run wallets and payouts, and keep accounts. We do not store your full card number
Class and learning data: bookings, attendance, progress, homework, classroom whiteboard and chat	To deliver lessons, show your progress, and resolve disputes
Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited	To keep the platform secure, diagnose faults, and understand which features are used
Consent records: which policy version you accepted, when, from which IP address	To prove that agreement was given, as the law requires

If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from them — nothing else, and never your password there.

3. How the platform is measured

Bolchaall measures how the site is used so it can be improved. This usage tracking is anonymous — it records pages, clicks and scrolling, not who you are, and it does not capture what you type. We do not sell your data and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

4. Classes and recording

Live classes run over a third-party video service. Bolchaall does not record your classes by default. If recording is ever switched on for a class, everyone in that class is told before it starts. Whiteboard content, shared material and in-class chat are stored so the class can be resumed and so disputes can be settled.

Tutors are never shown a student's email address or phone number. All contact goes through the platform.

5. Who we share it with

Only with the service providers the platform needs to work, and only with what they need:

Payment providers — to take payments and make payouts
The video service — to run live classes
Email and messaging providers — to send account and class notifications
Hosting — our servers and backups
Professional advisers and authorities — where the law requires it, or to investigate fraud or a safety concern

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for someone else's marketing.

6. How long we keep it

Account and class data: while your account is open.
When you delete your account from your dashboard, it is archived — sign-in stops immediately and your profile disappears from the platform, but records are retained so that finished classes, payments and tax records stay complete.
You can ask us to erase your account permanently by writing to support@bolchaall.com. We then delete your personal records, including your consent records, except anything we are legally required to keep — principally financial and tax records, which are retained for eight years as Indian law requires.
Anonymous usage statistics, which cannot identify you, may be kept indefinitely.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, erase it, or stop a particular use of it, and you may withdraw a consent you have given. Write to support@bolchaall.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, payment card data never touches our servers, and access to personal data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. Children

Accounts are for adults. A learner under 18 may use the platform only through a parent or guardian's account, and that adult is responsible for the data on it. If you believe a child has given us data directly, write to support@bolchaall.com and we will remove it.

10. Cookies

We use cookies for the things the site cannot work without — keeping you signed in, keeping your session secure, and remembering your preferences — and for the anonymous usage measurement in clause 3. Blocking essential cookies will stop you signing in.

11. Changes

If we change this Policy materially we will publish a new version and ask you to accept it the next time you sign in.
